about wendy
Hi, I am Wendy, mum to 5 adult kids,
blessed so far with 2 grandsons and 1 beautiful granddaughter. Here is a small part of my story...

Like most families, we have faced many challenges over the
years. Within our family, some have faced mental health challenges,
homelessness, addiction and more.
We have also been blessed with healthy children and loving
parents. Being fortunate enough to be born in Australia, we have been
afforded opportunities that many around the world do not
have.
Almost 10 years ago, as a single mother surviving on
government payments, I found myself at a crossroads. My 3
youngest children were teenagers and I was looking for a new
purpose. At that time, my aunt had asked me if I could help a
friend of hers who was finding it difficult to find a cleaner.
It wasn’t the path I was looking for, but it was to be short term,
and she needed help.
I met Shiree, a lady with muscular dystrophy who inspired me
and opened my eyes to the struggles of people living with a
Disability. As I cleaned and helped Shiree and her family prepare to move
house, we got to know each other and my purpose changed
from cleaner to support worker.
The NDIS was only just being rolled out in Qld and I did
everything I could to research and understand the system so
that I could help others.
I had found my purpose, and to this day. I am still personally
supporting Shiree and I credit her for opening my eyes.
Over the years, we’ve had the privilege to know and support
many amazing, strong, independent women and men who face
daily challenges that we could have never imagined.
We have grown over time and are now a Company with over 20
staff members.
Every client and every staff member that we have had the
opportunity to work for and alongside have taught and shaped
myself and as a result, the company itself.
Since the beginning, my goal has been to help those who need
it most, without judgement and with compassion.
These ethics extend beyond our clients and our staff.
As a single mum, I understand how difficult it can be to juggle
work around raising a family. With that in mind, we make it a priority to work with our staff
when organising their schedule. Our staff work the hours they want, when they want. We take
the time to match our staff with our clients to achieve the best
possible outcome for all involved.
This process helps us to retain regular staff and minimise
changes for our clients.
